Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge through central Australia directs an easterly flow across the north. A
weak trough near the west Pilbara coast will move inland on Wednesday. A new
ridge will form near the west Pilbara coast on Thursday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak cold front is brushing past the southwest coast as a ridge over the
southeast of the state weakens. A west coast trough is developing and will move
inland on Wednesday and Thursday, ahead of another weak cold front about the
southwest coast. A cloud band associated with the trough will bring rain to
inland southern WA. A more substantial cold front will move through the South
West Land Division on Friday and Saturday.

Light showers south of a line Mandurah to Bremer Bay.
Forecast for Tuesday 2 September
Light showers south of a line Rockingham to Jerramungup to Israelite Bay. One
or two light showers developing over western Gascoyne in the afternoon and
evening. The chance of morning fog over inland parts of the South West Land
Division, southwest Goldfields, and far western Kimberley. The chance of
morning frosts over inland parts of the South West Land Division, southern
Goldfields and southern Interior.
Forecast for Wednesday 3 September
Showers with chance of a thunderstorm over the Gascoyne, Goldfields, western
parts of South Interior, South East Coastal , far eastern parts of Central
Wheat Belt and Eucla. Light showers possible about the west coast of the South
West Land Division and south of a line Harvey to Bremer Bay. The chance of
morning fog over inland parts of South East Coastal, Eucla, northwest Gascoyne
and southwest Pilbara. Chance of morning frosts over the Great Southern and
Central Wheat Belt. Windy over the Gascoyne, northern Goldfields, and western
parts of South Interior.
Forecast for Thursday 4 September
Light showers over much of the South West Land Division and southern Gascoyne.
Showers and chance of a thunderstorm over Goldfields, eastern parts of South
East Coastal, South Interior and Eucla. The chance of morning fog over western
Gascoyne and inland western parts of the South West Land Division. Windy over
South Interior, Eucla, eastern parts of the Goldfields and northeast Gascoyne.
Forecast for Friday 5 September
Showers increasing over the South West Land Division and western Gascoyne.
Chance of a gusty thunderstorm over the western districts. Light showers over
southern Goldfields, Eucla, South Interior and far west Pilbara. The chance of
morning fog over western Gascoyne, northern parts of the South West Land
Division, southern Goldfields, southern Interior and Eucla. Windy to the south
of the Kimberley.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Tuesday.
