Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A strong ridge over southern WA will continue to direct fresh to strong
southeasterly winds across the Pilbara and southern Kimberley over the weekend.
A trough will form along the Pilbara coast from Sunday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong ridge will slowly move across southern WA over the next few days. A
weak cold front will brush the southwest corner of the State on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of Friday 29 August
Mostly clear across the State with cloud over the Eucla district. Windy over
the northern Gascoyne, Pilbara, southern Kimberley, Interior and Eucla.
Forecast for Saturday 30 August
Chance of a shower about the Eucla coast in the morning, and about the far
southwest corner in the afternoon. The chance of morning fog and frost over
inland parts of the South West Land Division and southern Goldfields. Possible
morning fog over the far north Kimberley. Windy over the Pilbara, southern
Kimberley, Interior and Gascoyne.
Forecast for Sunday 31 August
Light showers southwest of a line Busselton to Albany. The chance of morning
fog and frost over inland parts of the South West Land Division, southeastern
Gascoyne, Goldfields and southern Interior. Windy over the Pilbara, southern
Kimberley and North Interior.
Forecast for Monday 1 September
Light showers southwest of a line Bunbury to Bremer Bay. The chance of morning
fog and frost over inland parts of the South West Land Division, southern
Goldfields and southern Interior. Winds easing over the Pilbara, southern
Kimberley and North Interior.
Forecast for Tuesday 2 September
Light showers southwest of a line Busselton to Bremer Bay. The chance of
morning fog and frost over inland parts of the South West Land Division. Windy
morning over the western Kimberley and eastern Pilbara.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Saturday.
