Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge developing across the Gascoyne coast will shift southwards and
strengthen over southern WA from Thursday. As a result, a windy dry surge will
build across the north for the rest of the week and into the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A series of weak troughs will bring showers about the southwest and southern
coastal areas tonight and tomorrow. A ridge developing across the Gascoyne
coast will shift southwards and strengthen over southern WA tomorrow, and will
become the dominant weather pattern until next week.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 27 August
Showers over western, central and southern parts of the South West Land
Division, and along the far southwest Gascoyne and Eucla coasts. Slight chance
of a thunderstorm along western parts south of Lancelin until early evening.

Forecast for Thursday 28 August
Light showers over the South West Land Division, southern Gascoyne, western and
southern Goldfields, and southern Eucla, contracting to the south coast in the
afternoon and evening. Cold morning with the chance of fog and frosts about the
inland parts of the South West Land Division, adjacent southern Gascoyne,
Goldfields and Southern Interior. Possible morning fog over the far north
Kimberley. Windy morning over the eastern Pilbara, southern Kimberley and North
Interior.

Forecast for Friday 29 August
Light showers and drizzle, mostly in the morning, over the southern coastal
districts and adjacent southeast Goldfields. The chance of morning fog and
frosts over inland southern and eastern parts of the South West Land Division,
and adjacent western Goldfields. Possible morning fog over the far north
Kimberley. Windy over the northern Gascoyne, Pilbara, southern Kimberley,
Interior and Eucla.

Forecast for Saturday 30 August
Chance of a shower about the Eucla coast in the morning. The chance of morning
fog and frosts over inland parts of the South West Land Division and southern
Goldfields. Possible morning fog over the far north Kimberley. Windy over the
Pilbara, southern Kimberley, Interior and northern Gascoyne.

Forecast for Sunday 31 August
Light showers about the western south coast. The chance of morning fog and
frosts over inland parts of the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields
and southern Interior. Windy over the Pilbara, southern Kimberley and North
Interior.
