Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge developing across the Gascoyne coast will shift southwards and
strengthen over southern WA from Thursday. A windy dry surge will build across
the north as a result for the remainder of the week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold air mass over southwest WA will gradually weaken over the next few days.
A series of weak troughs will maintain showers across the South West Land
Division until Thursday. A new ridge strengthening over southern WA from
Thursday will become the dominant weather pattern until next week.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 26 August
Showers over the far southern Gascoyne, southern Goldfields, South West Land
Division and southern Eucla. Chance of a gusty thunderstorm east of Albany.
Windy through the Interior, Goldfields, Eucla and along the south coast. Winds
easing over inland areas during the evening.

Forecast for Wednesday 27 August
Showers and drizzle over the southern Gascoyne, South West Land Division,
Goldfields and southern Eucla, more frequent across the western districts. Cold
morning with areas of frost through inland parts of the South West Land
Division, parts of the Goldfields, South Interior and parts of inland Gascoyne.
Morning fog over inland northern parts of the South West Land Division and
southwest Gascoyne. Chance of morning fog over northwest Kimberley. Windy
morning over the eastern Pilbara, southern Kimberley and North Interior.

Forecast for Thursday 28 August
Light showers and drizzle over the South West Land Division, southern
Goldfields, southern Gascoyne and southern Eucla, contracting to the south
coast in the afternoon and evening. Cold morning with the chance of frost about
the inland eastern parts of the South West Land Division, western Goldfields
and Southern Interior. Possible morning fog over inland parts of the South West
Land Division. Chance of morning fog over far northern Kimberley. Windy morning
over the eastern Pilbara, southern Kimberley and North Interior.

Forecast for Friday 29 August
Light showers and drizzle over the southern coastal districts, southern
Goldfields and southern parts of the Great Southern. The chance of morning fog
about the South West, Great Southern, South Coastal and over far northern
Kimberley. Windy over the Pilbara, southern Kimberley, Interior and northern
Gascoyne.

Forecast for Saturday 30 August
Chance of light showers and drizzle over the southern coastal districts,
southern Goldfields and southern parts of the Great Southern, clearing by late
afternoon. The chance of morning fog and frosts over inland parts of the South
West Land Division, southern Goldfields and far northern Kimberley. Windy over
the Pilbara, southern Kimberley, Interior and northern Gascoyne.
