Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A firm ridge across the south of the state directs a dry southeast surge across
the north. The surge will weaken early next week as a trough developing near
the Pilbara west coast moves inland ahead of a front across southern WA middle
of next week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A firm ridge over southern WA will start to move east as a weak trough develops
near the west coast on Sunday. Associated cloud band will extend across the
southwest during Sunday. A significant cold front will approach the west coast
on Tuesday and move inland across southern WA on Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 15 August
Light showers about southern coastal districts and southern parts of the Great
Southern district.

Forecast for Saturday 16 August
Light showers over the South West, South Coastal, and southern parts of the
Great Southern district in the morning. Showers about the Eucla coast and South
East Coastal coast. Morning fog over inland southern South West Land Division,
southern Goldfields and western Eucla. Morning frosts over inland parts of the
South West Land Division, Goldfields, inland Eucla and South Interior. Windy
across the Interior, southern Kimberley, Pilbara and northeast Gascoyne.

Forecast for Sunday 17 August
Light showers developing over most of the South West Land Division and far
southwest Goldfields. Chance of showers about the coast east of Esperance.
Morning frost possible over southern Interior, southern Goldfields, inland
Eucla, and southern inland parts of South West Land Division. Morning fog
possible over southern coastal districts and southern Goldfields. Windy across
the North Interior, Kimberley, Pilbara and Gascoyne.

Forecast for Monday 18 August
Light showers across most of the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields
and western Eucla. Chance of morning fog about the Gascoyne coast, west Pilbara
coast and far west Kimberley. Windy in the morning across northern Interior,
southern Kimberley, and adjacent Pilbara.

Forecast for Tuesday 19 August
Squally showers over the South West Land Division, spreading to southern
Gascoyne, southwest Goldfields and western Eucla during the day. Gusty
thunderstorms over the western and southern districts of the South West Land
Division. Chance of morning fog about the northwest Gascoyne coast, west
Pilbara coast and far west Kimberley. Windy across much of the state south of
northern Kimberley.
