Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge over southern WA will direct an east to southeast flow across the
region until a cold front moves through southern WA on Thursday. The next ridge
will bring a dry southeast wind surge across the north from Friday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high in the Bight maintains a ridge over southern WA until Wednesday. The
next cold front will move over the southwest of the state later on Wednesday,
and through remaining southern parts on Thursday. A firm ridge will develop
over southern WA from Friday and will be the dominant weather pattern over the
state through the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 12 August
Mostly clear over the state.

Forecast for Wednesday 13 August
Showers developing southwest of a line Jurien Bay to Walpole during the
afternoon, spreading to southwest of Denham to Bremer Bay during the evening.
Showers becoming squally and more frequent over the South West and Lower West
districts during the evening. Morning fog possible about the far west Gascoyne
and far west Pilbara. Warm across western and central parts. Windy at times
across much of the state.

Forecast for Thursday 14 August
Squally showers south of a line from Coral Bay to Caiguna, spreading to
southwest of Exmouth to Forrest during the day, though mostly clearing and
contracting to the south coast and eastern Eucla in the late afternoon. Gusty
thunderstorms and the chance of small hail possible south of Busselton to
Bremer Bay. Morning fog about western Gascoyne and southwest Pilbara. Windy
across the southern coastal districts, Goldfields and southern Interior.

Forecast for Friday 15 August
Showers about southern coastal parts. Morning fog and frosts over inland parts
of the South West Land Division, and southwestern Goldfields. Windy across the
Interior, southern Kimberley and Pilbara.

Forecast for Saturday 16 August
Showers about the western south coast and Eucla coast, mostly morning. Morning
fog and frosts over inland parts of the South West Land Division and southern
Goldfields. Morning frosts over the central Goldfields and southern South
Interior. Windy across the Interior, southern Kimberley, Pilbara and
northeastern Gascoyne.
