Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high pressure ridge to the south will move southeast later the week with a
weak trough then becoming established over the area. A cloud band over the
eastern Pilbara and northeastern Interior will contract east and clear on
Thursday. Another cloud band is forecast to develop over northwestern parts on
Friday and over the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system in the Bight extends a ridge over southern WA. The high
pressure system will move east later in the week ahead of the next series of
cold fronts on Friday and over the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 6 August
Light showers over the northern and central eastern Interior.

Forecast for Thursday 7 August
Chance of showers over the southern Eucla and central eastern Interior, mostly
clearing during the afternoon. Morning fog possible over inland southern parts
of the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields, Eucla and northwest
Kimberley. Patchy morning frosts possible over the inland southern and central
South West Land Division.

Forecast for Friday 8 August
Showers about the South West Capes, extending to southwest of Perth to Albany
during the morning and early afternoon, and to southwest of Jurien Bay to
Bremer Bay by evening. Showers becoming more frequent southwest of Perth to
Albany during the afternoon and evening with the chance of a thunderstorm about
coastal parts. Showers developing about the far western Pilbara and western
Gascoyne during the morning and extending southeast over inland central and
northern parts of the Gascoyne during the afternoon and evening. Morning fog
possible over the northwest Kimberley.

Forecast for Saturday 9 August
Showers southwest of Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay and east along the Esperance
coast, extending to southwest of Carnarvon to Esperance during the afternoon
and evening. Showers becoming more frequent southwest of Jurien Bay to Bremer
Bay during the afternoon and evening. Moderate falls and gusty thunderstorms
possible southwest of Perth to Albany. Chance of early morning light showers
over the inland Pilbara and Gascoyne. Morning fog possible over the northwest
Kimberley.

Forecast for Sunday 10 August
Showers southwest of Exmouth to Caiguna, extending east to a line Karratha to
Forrest during the afternoon and evening. Showers mostly clearing western parts
by evening.
