Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high pressure ridge to the south will move southeast during the week with a
weak trough then becoming established over the area. A cloud band over the
Pilbara and central Interior will contract east and clear on Thursday. Another
cloud band is forecast to develop over northwestern parts on Friday and over
the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge lies over southern WA with a high moving into the Bight
on Wednesday. The high pressure system will move east later in the week ahead
of the next cold front on Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 5 August
Isolated light showers over the South West Land Division and along the western
Eucla coast, mostly clearing during the evening.

Forecast for Wednesday 6 August
Chance of showers over most of the South West Land Division, southern
Goldfields, Eucla, northern and central Interior and eastern Pilbara. Morning
frost possible over inland southwestern parts of the South West Land Division
and over the southern South Interior. Morning fog possible over inland parts of
the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields, western Eucla and northwest
Kimberley.

Forecast for Thursday 7 August
Chance of showers over the southern Eucla and eastern Interior, mostly clearing
during the afternoon. Morning fog possible over the inland South Coastal
districts, the Eucla and northwest Kimberley.

Forecast for Friday 8 August
Showers developing west of Exmouth to Hopetoun during the morning and extending
east to southwest of Exmouth to Leinster to Eyre during the afternoon and
evening. Chance of thunderstorms about coastal parts between Perth and Windy
Harbour. Morning fog possible over the northwest Kimberley.

Forecast for Saturday 9 August
Showers southwest of Onslow to Eyre mostly clearing inland parts and becoming
confined to southwest of Coral Bay to Hopetoun during the morning. Chance of
thunderstorms about the South West Capes. Morning fog possible over the
northwest Kimberley.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Wednesday.
