Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak cloud band extends over the western Pilbara which deepens on Tuesday
over the Pilbara and southern Kimberley. Meanwhile, a weak ridge persists
across central WA.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
weak ridge lies across central WA allowing a moist westerly flow to continue
across the southwest coast. A weak cold front brushes the south coast on
Tuesday before the ridge slips south of the State on Wednesday and a high moves
into the Bight. A cold front will move through the southwest of WA on Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 4 August
Showers southwest of Geraldton to Northam to Albany more frequent near the
coast. Large waves and surf may be hazardous for coastal activities along the
Leeuwin and Albany coasts.

Forecast for Tuesday 5 August
Showers over the South West Land Division, southwest Goldfields, western Eucla,
more frequent near the south and west coast. Morning frost possible over the
far northern Goldfields and Southern Interior. Morning fog possible over the
far northwest Kimberley.

Forecast for Wednesday 6 August
Chance of showers over most of the South West Land Division, southern
Goldfields, Eucla, Interior and eastern Pilbara. Morning frost possible over
the southern South Interior. Morning fog possible over inland parts of the
South West Land Division, southern Goldfields and northwest Kimberley.

Forecast for Thursday 7 August
Chance of showers over the southern Eucla and eastern Interior. Morning fog
possible over the inland South Coastal districts, the Eucla and northwest
Kimberley.

Forecast for Friday 8 August
Showers developing west of Exmouth to Hopetoun during the morning and extending
east to southwest of Exmouth to Leinster to Eyre during the afternoon and
evening. Chance of thunderstorms about the South West Capes.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Tuesday.
