Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high pressure ridge will bring fresh and gusty southeasterly surges to most
of northern WA through to Friday. The ridge will start to weaken on Saturday
with a pair of cold fronts slated to pass through southern WA. The next ridge
will start to extend into the Pilbara on Sunday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure will strengthen over southern WA on Thursday before
moving eastward into the Bight on Friday. A relatively strong cold front will
cross the west coast on Saturday with a second front expected to reach the west
coast early Sunday and continue eastward over the southern districts.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 30 July
Possible light showers about the Eucla, mainly near the coast. Mainly clear
conditions along the west coast and most of northern WA, but partly cloudy over
the remainder of central and southern WA and across the east Kimberley.

Forecast for Thursday 31 July
Light showers about the South West Capes, Eucla and southern South Interior.
Areas of morning frost and fog over inland central and southern parts of the
South West Land Division and Goldfields, as well as the western Eucla. Possible
morning fog in the far northern Kimberley. Fresh and gusty east to
southeasterly winds in the Pilbara, southern Kimberley and North Interior.
Mostly sunny over northern and central WA and along the west coast with partly
cloudy skies for the Wheat Belt, Great Southern and southern and eastern
Goldfields.

Forecast for Friday 1 August
Showers about the South West Capes extending to southwest of a line Mandurah to
Windy Harbour during the evening. Areas of early frost in the eastern South
West Land Division, Goldfields and inland Eucla. Possible early fog in the
inland Eucla, southern South Interior and far northern Kimberley. Fresh and
gusty east to southeasterly winds over much of northern WA. Sunny across most
of the South West Land Division with freshening northerly winds.

Forecast for Saturday 2 August
Showers extending to be southwest of a line from Onslow to Meekatharra to
Balladonia by the evening. A cold front spreading a band of steadier rain with
moderate falls possible from the South West early in the morning to the Perth
metro area to Albany by around midday, then continuing into the Mid West, Wheat
Belt and Great Southern in the afternoon and evening. Chance of thunderstorms
about the South West Capes. Chance of a shower over the east-central Pilbara in
the evening. Fresh winds in the morning across the Kimberley and North
Interior, and throughout the day across much of central and southern WA.

Forecast for Sunday 3 August
Showers south and west of a line from Bidyadanga to Warburton, clearing by the
afternoon across the northern Gascoyne and west-central Pilbara. Showers most
widespread about the Lower West and South West and adjacent Great Southern and
Central Wheat Belt. Patchy morning fog in the northwest Kimberley. Windy
throughout much of central and southern WA.
