Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak trough over inland Pilbara and the Interior will contract to the
Kimberley later Monday as a strong cold front moves across southern WA and is
followed by a ridge across the central WA coast. The ridge will bring a south
to southeast wind change. Meanwhile, a weak cloud band will move across the
north on Monday. Another cloud band on Wednesday and Thursday will bring
unseasonal rain.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong cold front moving across the South West Land Division today will move
through the eastern parts of southern WA on Monday. A new ridge will follow in
the wake of the front across the central WA coast, maintaining a westerly flow
across the southwest coast. Another cold front will move through southwest WA
on Wednesday and across southern WA on Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 20 July
Windy across the South West Land Division, Goldfields, Eucla, southern Interior
and Gascoyne. Gusty showers and areas of rain across the South West Land
Division, southern and western Gascoyne, and southwest Goldfields. Isolated
gusty thunderstorms south of a line Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay with chance of
damaging wind gusts. Small hail possible across the southwest districts. Snow
flurries possible over the Stirling Ranges later this evening.

Forecast for Monday 21 July
Drizzle over inland parts of the South West Land Division. Showers over the
remainder of the South West Land Division, Gascoyne, Goldfields, South Interior
and Eucla, more frequent with rain areas over the southern coastal districts.
Chance of a light shower over southern Pilbara, North Interior and southwest
Kimberley. Showers clearing across most inland areas during the afternoon and
early evening. Cold across the South West Land Division and southern
Goldfields. Chance of gusty thunderstorms and small hail near the south coast.
Snow flurries possible over the Stirling Ranges in the morning. Chance of
morning fog and frosts through inland parts of the South West Land Division.
Chance of morning fog over western Kimberley. Windy through the Gascoyne,
Goldfields, Interior and southern coastal districts.

Forecast for Tuesday 22 July
Light showers over much of the South West Land Division and Eucla coast, more
frequent about the west coast south of Geraldton. Chance of morning frosts
through northern parts of the South West Land Division, Gascoyne, Goldfields,
South Interior and southeast Pilbara. Chance of morning fog over western
Kimberley and inland parts of the South West Land Division. Windy in the
morning over the southern Kimberley, northern parts of the Pilbara and North
Interior.

Forecast for Wednesday 23 July
Showers over the South West Land Division, western Goldfields, western Pilbara,
Gascoyne and adjacent central Interior. Showers more frequent over the western
districts and along the south coast of the South West Land Division with chance
of gusty thunderstorms. Chance of morning frosts through far eastern Gascoyne,
northern Goldfields, South Interior and southeast Pilbara. Chance of morning
fog over northern Kimberley. Windy across the southern coastal districts.

Forecast for Thursday 24 July
Partly cloudy across eastern Kimberley. Showers and areas of rain over the
remainder of the state. Chance of thunderstorms along the west and south coasts
of the South West Land Division. Small hail possible about the southwest
districts. Cold throughout the South West Land Division, Goldfields and
southern Gascoyne. Snow flurries possible over the Stirling Ranges. Chance of
morning fog over northwest Kimberley. Windy across much of the state south of
the northern Kimberley.
