Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge over southern WA is moving east and a weak trough will form near the
west Kimberley and east Pilbara coast on Sunday. A new ridge will extend over
southern WA on Monday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge over the southeast of the State is moving east. A cold front will cross
the southwest corner on Friday night and move over the South West Land Division
on Saturday. A new ridge will extend over southwest WA on Sunday, followed by a
weak cold front brushing the south coast on Sunday night and Monday.
Forecast for the rest of Friday 11 July
Showers southwest of a line Perth to Walpole, extending to west of Jurien Bay
to Albany by midnight. Chance of a thunderstorm near the coastal fringe of the
South West district.
Forecast for Saturday 12 July
Showers across much of the South West Land Division, more frequent over western
districts. Showers extending to the southwest Gascoyne, southwest Goldfields
and western Eucla in the late afternoon and evening. Patchy morning frost over
the southern Gascoyne, adjacent Central Wheat Belt and western Goldfields.
Windy over the southeast of the State.
Forecast for Sunday 13 July
Showers over the southern and western Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla and South
West Land Division. Morning fog and frost over inland parts of the South West
Land Division.
Forecast for Monday 14 July
Showers over the eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla, southern Interior and
across much of the South West Land Division. Morning fog and frosts over inland
southern parts of the South West Land Division. Windy over southern and central
parts of the State.
Forecast for Tuesday 15 July
Showers over western and southern parts of the South West Land Division, and
along the south coast. Morning fog and frosts over the Goldfields, Eucla and
inland parts of the South West Land Division. Windy morning over the Pilbara,
North Interior, western Kimberley and northern Gascoyne.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Saturday.
