Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge developing over central parts of the State provides southeasterly winds
over the area, tending gusty in the morning. A cold front over southern parts
extends a trough into the far west Pilbara on Sunday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
An approaching high pressure system extends a ridge over the mid west, moving
into central Australia on Friday. A cold front is expected to cross the
southwest of the State on Saturday, followed by another cold front slipping
south of the State on Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 9 July
Possible light shower about the coastal Eucla. Areas of raised dust in the far
west Pilbara.
Forecast for Thursday 10 July
Chance of light showers southwest of Perth to Bremer Bay and along the south
coast, tending more frequent southwest of Busselton to Walpole. Possible
morning fog over the central South West Land Division and southwest Goldfields.
Morning frost over the inland South West Land Division, southern Gascoyne,
Goldfields and South Interior. Windy in the morning about northern districts.
Forecast for Friday 11 July
Showers southwest of Mandurah to Albany. Chance of showers later in the day
over remaining areas southwest of Lancelin to Bremer Bay. Chance of gusty
thunderstorms over the coastal fringe of the South West district. Morning frost
over the inland South West Land Division, eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, South
Interior and northern Eucla.
Forecast for Saturday 12 July
Showers over southwestern districts, extending during the day to southwest of a
line from about Exmouth to Kalgoorlie to Balladonia. Patchy morning frost over
the southern Gascoyne and adjacent Central Wheat Belt and Goldfields.
Forecast for Sunday 13 July
Showers southwest of a line from Exmouth to Meekatharra to Eucla, becoming less
frequent over parts of the inland South West Land Division. Patchy morning fog
about and inland of the Darling Escarpment.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Thursday.
