Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high pressure ridge extends from the Interior and into the Pilbara. A new
ridge developing over central parts of the State on Tuesday and Wednesday will
bring a return of gusty southeasterly winds, over most areas.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system lies over inland southeast parts of the State and is
moving east. A cold front embedded in a vigorous westerly flow will move over
the South West Land Division during Sunday, ahead of another front and
associated cold pool on Monday. A ridge develops over central parts of the
State on Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 5 July
Showers southwest of Rockingham to Walpole, most likely near the coast between
Mandurah and Augusta.

Forecast for Sunday 6 July
Showers over the South West district, extending to coastal areas south of
Jurien Bay during the morning. Showers increasing during the afternoon and
extending throughout the South West Land Division during the afternoon and
evening. Gusty showers and thunderstorms with isolated heavy falls possible
between Perth and Walpole. Chance of showers also near the Gascoyne coast.
Windy over the South West Land Division and adjacent Goldfields and Gascoyne
from late morning. Patchy morning frost over central and eastern parts of the
State.

Forecast for Monday 7 July
Showers over the South West Land Division, Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla, far
west Pilbara and southern South Interior. The chance of a gusty thunderstorm in
coastal areas between Bunbury and Esperance. Possible small hail over southern
coastal districts. Patchy morning fog in the western Pilbara and Gascoyne.
Patchy morning frost over central and eastern parts of the State. Very windy
over the southern half of the State.

Forecast for Tuesday 8 July
Showers along the west coast south of Geraldton, and along the south coast,
extending inland to much of the South West Land Division during the afternoon.
Windy through southern coastal districts, and over the western Pilbara and
Gascoyne in the morning. Patchy morning frost over inland parts of the South
West Land Division and adjacent Gascoyne and Goldfields.

Forecast for Wednesday 9 July
Showers near the south coast. Chance of showers over the remaining South West
Land Division, southern Goldfields and Eucla, mostly morning. Possible morning
fog over the inland northern South West Land Division. Patchy morning frost
over central and eastern parts of the State.
