Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
Easterly winds continue to ease as a high pressure system over central
Australia moves east and weakens. A cold front moving over the south of the
today and into Thursday extends into the north of the state. A new high
pressure system then develops to the south later in the week, bringing the
return of southeasterly winds on Saturday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front continues moving eastwards over the south of the state this
evening and overnight into Thursday. A new high pressure system moves over the
south of the state during Friday and Saturday, followed by another cold front
on Sunday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 2 July
Showers over much of the South West Land Division, southwestern Gascoyne, and
western and southern Goldfields. Showers becoming more frequent with the chance
of a gusty thunderstorm over western districts.

Forecast for Thursday 3 July
Showers over the South West Land Division, Goldfields, and most of the
Gascoyne. The slight chance of a shower over the far western Pilbara later in
the day. Chance of a gusty thunderstorm over western and northern districts of
the South West Land Division and adjacent Gascoyne. Patchy morning frost over
central parts of the Interior. Fresh winds over the Central West, Gascoyne,
Goldfields and South Interior in the afternoon.

Forecast for Friday 4 July
Showers over the southern districts. Chance of light showers over the remaining
South West Land Division, southwest Gascoyne, Goldfields and Southern Interior.
Chance of a thunderstorm near the coast about Esperance. Fresh winds over the
South East Coastal, Goldfields, Eucla and Southern Interior in the afternoon.

Forecast for Saturday 5 July
Showers about southern coastal parts and the South West Capes, extending north
along the west coast to Mandurah later in the day. Patchy morning frost and fog
over inland parts of the South West Land Division. Patchy morning frost
extending into the western Goldfields and eastern Gascoyne.

Forecast for Sunday 6 July
Showers about the South West and Lower West, developing about the remainder of
the South West Land Division throughout the day. The slight chance of a shower
over the western Gascoyne. Gusty thunderstorms possible about the coastal
fringe of the South West district. Patchy morning frost over southeastern and
central parts of the Interior. Fresh winds over the South West Land Division
and adjacent Goldfields and Gascoyne in the afternoon.
