Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge over southern WA is directing drier east to southeasterly winds over
the area.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front is weakening as it moves inland over the South West Land Division
today. A weak high pressure system will quickly move through southern WA on
Saturday, followed by another weak cold front on Sunday. A more substantial
cold front will sweep through southwest WA on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of Friday 13 June
Light showers southwest of a line Dongara to Merredin to Eyre, showers more
frequent about the west and south coasts.
Forecast for Saturday 14 June
Light morning shower along the south coast. Possible showers developing over
the South West, Lower West and coastal parts of Central West during the
afternoon and evening. Possible morning fog and frost over inland parts of the
South West Land Division and southwest Goldfields. Chance of morning frost over
northern Goldfields and South Interior.
Forecast for Sunday 15 June
Light showers south of a line Kalbarri to Southern Cross to Israelite Bay, more
frequent about the west and south coasts. Chance of a shower about the Eucla
coast. Possible morning fog over the inland northern and central parts of the
South West Land Division. Possible morning frost over the South Interior.
Forecast for Monday 16 June
Showers southwest of Perth to Bremer Bay. Chance of a shower about the
remainder of the south coast. Possible morning fog over the South West Land
Division, southern Goldfields and Eucla. Possible morning frost over the South
Interior.
Forecast for Tuesday 17 June
Showers over the South West Land Division, adjacent southern Gascoyne and
southwest Goldfields, more frequent over the western districts. Possible
morning fog over eastern Eucla.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Saturday.
