Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
An easterly flow is developing across the north. A ridge over southern WA from
midweek will direct gusty southeasterly winds during the morning.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front is approaching the southwest coast and will move through the South
West Land Division on Tuesday, weakening as it moves inland. A new ridge will
develop across the Lower West coast from Wednesday, allowing a moist westerly
flow to continue about the southwest coast. Another cold front will sweep
through southwest WA on Friday.
Forecast for the rest of Monday 9 June
Showers and chance of a thunderstorm developing about the South West Capes.
Possible light showers over far southeast Goldfields, Eucla and southern parts
of the South Interior.
Forecast for Tuesday 10 June
Showers over much of the South West Land Division, southwest Goldfields and
western Eucla district, more frequent about the west and south coasts. Possible
light shower about the Gascoyne coast, far eastern Eucla and adjacent South
Interior. Chance of gusty thunderstorms over western and southern districts.
Possible morning frost over South Interior, Goldfields and adjacent Gascoyne.
Possible morning fog over the Eucla and adjacent South Interior. Windy over
southern and central parts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Wednesday 11 June
Showers about the west and south coasts of the South West Land Division, Eucla
coast and Shark Bay’s west coast. Possible morning frost over inland parts of
the South West Land Division, western Goldfields, adjacent Gascoyne and South
Interior. Windy over Eucla.
Forecast for Thursday 12 June
Showers about the west and south coasts south of Rockingham. Possible morning
frost over inland parts of the South West Land Division, Goldfields, eastern
and southern Gascoyne, and South Interior. Possible morning fog over central
and southern inland parts of the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields,
Eucla and adjacent South Interior. Windy in the morning across southwest
Kimberley and adjacent Pilbara.
Forecast for Friday 13 June
Showers south of a line Dongara to Southern Cross to Eyre, more frequent about
the west and south coasts. Gusty thunderstorms possible about the southwest
coast. Chance of morning frost over the South Interior. Windy over the southern
districts.
