Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge over central parts of the State brings gusty southeasterly winds during
the morning periods. The ridge will weaken from later Monday, allowing a more
easterly flow to develop.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system over southern WA is slowly moving east and will exit the
state on Monday night. A cold front will approach the southwest coast later
Monday and move through the South West Land Division on Tuesday, weakening as
it moves inland. A new ridge will develop across the Lower West coast from
Wednesday, allowing a moist westerly flow to continue about the southwest coast.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 8 June
Light showers possible over Eucla, eastern parts of South East Coastal,
southeast Goldfields and southern parts of South Interior.
Forecast for Monday 9 June
Possible light showers east of Esperance, southeast Goldfields, Eucla and
southern parts of the South Interior. Showers and chance of a thunderstorm
developing about the South West Capes later in the day. Possible morning frost
over inland parts of the South West Land Division, Goldfields and southeast
Gascoyne. Possible morning fog over southern parts of the South West Land
Division, southern Goldfields, Eucla and adjacent South Interior. Windy in the
morning across southwest Kimberley and adjacent Pilbara.
Forecast for Tuesday 10 June
Showers south of a line Kalbarri to Southern Cross to Israelite Bay, more
frequent about the west and south coasts. Possible light shower about the
Gascoyne coast, eastern Eucla and adjacent South Interior. Chance of gusty
thunderstorms near the coast between Dongara and Israelite Bay. Possible
morning frost over central Interior, northern Goldfields and far northeast
Gascoyne. Possible morning fog over the Eucla and adjacent South Interior.
Windy over southern and central parts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Wednesday 11 June
Showers about the west and south coasts of the South West Land Division, Eucla
coast and Shark Bay’s west coast. Possible morning frost over inland parts of
the South West Land Division, western Goldfields, adjacent Gascoyne and South
Interior. Possible morning fog over northern inland parts of the South West
Land Division and southern Gascoyne. Windy over Eucla.
Forecast for Thursday 12 June
Showers south of a line Gingin to Katanning to Albany and along the south
coast. Possible morning frost over inland parts of the South West Land
Division, Goldfields, eastern and southern Gascoyne, and South Interior.
Possible morning fog over central and southern inland parts of the South West
Land Division, southern Goldfields and Eucla. Windy in the morning across
southwest Kimberley and adjacent Pilbara.
