Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough near the Pilbara coast will move inland over the next couple of
days and weaken by the weekend. Associated cloud band over the east Pilbara and
southwest Kimberley will weaken later today.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cloud band extends across central and eastern WA, easing during today. A
ridge of high pressure will strengthen over southern WA from Friday and
continue into the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 5 June
Showers over the eastern Pilbara, southwest Kimberley, Interior, southern
Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla and South West Land Division, more frequent along
the west and south coasts. Showers over the South West Land Division and
Gascoyne contracting to the coast later in the afternoon. Possible gusty
thunderstorms about the south coast east of Walpole, contracting east during
the morning. Possible morning fog through inland parts of the Gascoyne and west
coast of the Kimberley. Windy across southern coastal districts.
Forecast for Friday 6 June
Light showers over the southern districts. Showers also possible over the
southwestern Kimberley, far northeastern Pilbara, and northern Interior,
clearing during the day.
Forecast for Saturday 7 June
Light showers over southern districts and possible over the far southwest
Kimberley, and far northeast Pilbara coast. Areas of morning frost through
inland parts of the South West Land Division, apart from the Central West
district and southwest Goldfields.
Forecast for Sunday 8 June
Light showers over eastern parts of the South West Land Division, Eucla,
southern Goldfields and southern parts of the South Interior. Possible light
showers over the southwest Kimberley and far northeast Pilbara. Areas of
morning frost through inland southern parts of the South West Land Division and
southwest Goldfields.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
