Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies near the Pilbara coast with a cloud band developing over
the western Pilbara.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A slow moving low pressure system is approaching from the west and is forecast
to move south of the State on Wednesday and Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 3 June
Showers southwest of a line Port Hedland to Eucla. Possible gusty thunderstorms
over the northwest Cape area, South West Land Division and adjacent Goldfields
and Gascoyne. Heavy rainfall possible along the west coast between Perth and
Margaret River. Windy across southern and western districts.
Forecast for Wednesday 4 June
Showers southwest of a line Wallal to Giles. Possible gusty thunderstorms over
the South West Land Division and adjacent Goldfields and Gascoyne. Windy across
southern and western districts.
Forecast for Thursday 5 June
Showers southwest of a line from Broome to Balgo Hills, more frequent along the
west and south coasts. Possible gusty thunderstorms near the coast between
Jurien Bay and Bremer Bay.
Forecast for Friday 6 June
Showers over southern districts and along the west coast south of Jurien Bay.
Showers also possible over the southwestern Kimberley, northeastern Pilbara,
and northern and eastern Interior.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
