Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high in the Bight will maintain an easterly flow across the north until the
weekend. A trough near the west Pilbara coast will deepen over the next few
days before moving over western Pilbara over the weekend. Associated cloud band
is developing over western Pilbara. Meanwhile, the cloud band that was over the
Kimberley and the Interior has cleared east, although low level cloud is still
lingering through these areas.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system in the Great Australian Bight is slowly moving east. A
trough is deepening off the west coast and will move inland ahead of a cold
front crossing the west coast later on Friday. Another cold front and
associated low pressure system will approach the west coast on Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 28 May
Light showers or drizzle possible over southeast Kimberley and northeast
Interior. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm along the coast between Onslow and
Dongara.

Forecast for Thursday 29 May
Showers west of a line from Karratha to Wiluna to Bremer Bay, more frequent
about the coast. Chance of a thunderstorm about the west coast south of
Karratha. Chance of morning fog through inland parts of the Eucla district.
Cool over southern and eastern Kimberley, and northern Interior. Windy in the
morning over the western Pilbara, Gascoyne and Central West.

Forecast for Friday 30 May
Showers west of a line from Port Hedland to Cocklebiddy, more frequent about
the west coast. Possible gusty thunderstorms west of a line Denham to Merredin
to Bremer Bay. Windy during the day over the western Pilbara, Gascoyne, South
West Land Division and southwest Goldfields. Cool over southern and eastern
Kimberley, and northern Interior. Windy in the morning through the North
Interior.

Forecast for Saturday 31 May
Showers and possible thunderstorms southwest of a line Port Hedland to
Warburton.

Forecast for Sunday 1 June
Light showers southwest of a line Port Hedland to Warburton, more frequent
about the south and southwest coasts. Isolated thunderstorms possible near the
southwest coast. Chance of morning fog through inland parts of the South West
Land Division, adjacent Gascoyne and southwest Goldfields.
