Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A cloud band extending from the Kimberley, through the North Interior and into
the Northern Territory is slowly moving east. A high in the Bight will persist
for the next few days with a trough developing over the western Pilbara on
Wednesday and Thursday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system in the Great Australian Bight is slowly moving east. A
cold front approaches during Thursday and will cross the west coast on Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 27 May
Areas of rain and isolated thunderstorms over the Kimberley and northeastern
Interior, with heavy falls possible. Cloudy over southeastern parts of the
State with isolated light showers.

Forecast for Wednesday 28 May
Showers over eastern parts of the Kimberley and Interior, clearing during the
morning. Chance of showers developing along the coast between Onslow and
Geraldton. Morning frost possible over inland parts of the South West Land
Division and southern Goldfields. Windy in the morning over the Pilbara, North
Interior, Gascoyne and Central West.

Forecast for Thursday 29 May
Showers west of a line from Karratha to Meekatharra to Bremer Bay. Chance of a
thunderstorm about the Gascoyne and Central West coasts and South West Capes.
Windy in the morning over the southern Kimberley, Pilbara, North Interior,
Gascoyne and Central West.

Forecast for Friday 30 May
Showers west of a line from Port Hedland to Israelite Bay. Possible gusty
thunderstorms west of a line Geraldton to Cunderdin to Albany. Windy during the
day over all but far northern and southeastern parts of the State.

Forecast for Saturday 31 May
Showers southwest of a line Port Hedland to Warburton. Possible gusty
thunderstorms along the south coast between Augusta and Bremer Bay. Windy in
the morning over the Eucla district.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Wednesday.
