Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge to the south will maintain easterly winds across the north.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge is located south of the state with a high pressure centre forming in
the Bight. The high pressure centre will move east over the next couple of
days. A trough deepening near the west coast will move over the South West Land
Division late Friday ahead of a weak cold front brushing the southwest coast on
Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 8 May
Light shower possible about the Eucla coast and the northwest Kimberley coast.
Warm over the western districts. Chance of morning fog over the southern
districts and adjacent Goldfields. Windy in the morning over northern parts.
Forecast for Friday 9 May
Light shower possible about the southwest coast in the afternoon and evening.
Warm conditions over the South West Land Division. Windy in the morning over
northern parts.
Forecast for Saturday 10 May
Showers south of a line from Rockingham to Lake Grace to Israelite Bay. Warm
conditions over the northern and eastern parts of the South West Land Division.
Windy in the morning over northern parts.
Forecast for Sunday 11 May
Light showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division, southern
Goldfields and western Eucla district. Morning fog possible over the far
southern parts of the State.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
