Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
Tropical Cyclone Errol is well to the north of Broome and moving west. It is
expected to continue moving west and intensify during Wednesday. On Thursday,
it is expected to turn around and move east back towards the Kimberley coast
and weaken. Meanwhile, a trough over the western Pilbara will slowly move
eastwards during the next few days.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system moves south of the Bight during today and Thursday
before a stronger ridge develops from the west later Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 16 April
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the far north and northwest Kimberley.
Showers and the chance of thunderstorms developing in the late afternoon or
evening over the South West Land division northeast of Perth to Bremer Bay,
southern Gascoyne, and southeastern Goldfields.

Forecast for Thursday 17 April
Showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division. Showers and the
chance of thunderstorms over the eastern South West Land Division, southeast
Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla, South Interior and north and northwest Kimberley.
Possible shower over the central and eastern Pilbara. Possible heavy falls over
the southern Goldfields and Southeast Coastal district.

Forecast for Friday 18 April
Showers over southern and eastern parts of the South West Land Division.
Showers and the chance of thunderstorms over the eastern Goldfields, South
Interior, Eucla, north and northwest Kimberley and northern central and eastern
Pilbara.

Forecast for Saturday 19 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and northwest Kimberley, and eastern
Pilbara. Shower over the remainder of the Kimberley and Northern Interior.
Showers also likely over southern districts, southern and eastern Goldfields,
and southern parts of the Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
