Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A tropical low 29U is expected to move to the north of the Kimberley in the
Timor Sea on Saturday. There is a high chance this system may develop into a
tropical cyclone during Saturday. Heavy falls and damaging winds are possible
about the coastal Kimberley as the system intensifies and tracks southwest over
the weekend and next week. Meanwhile, a trough lies slow moving over the
Pilbara.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A west coast trough is deepening and will move inland on Saturday. Associated
cloud band and low pressure system will bring moderate to heavy rainfall to
much of the South West Land Division, Goldfields and southern Gascoyne until
Monday before weakening and moving east on Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 11 April
Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the western Pilbara, inland Gascoyne
and the western districts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Saturday 12 April
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the South West Land Division, inland
Gascoyne, southwest Pilbara, southwest Goldfields and about the north Kimberley
coast. Windy at times over central and southern parts. Possibly windy about
north Kimberley coast dependent on development and movement of tropical low.

Forecast for Sunday 13 April
Rain, showers and gusty thunderstorms over the South West Land Division,
southwest Goldfields, southern and western Gascoyne, and northern Kimberley.
Heavy falls possible over southern and eastern parts of the South West Land
Division, southwest Goldfields and about the north coast of the Kimberley.
Windy at times over southern and eastern parts. Possibly windy over north and
northwest Kimberley coasts dependent on development and movement of tropical
low.

Forecast for Monday 14 April
Rain, showers and gusty thunderstorms over the South West Land Division,
Goldfields, southern and central Gascoyne, western Eucla and northern and
central Kimberley. Heavy falls possible over eastern parts of the South West
Land Division, southwest Goldfields, and about the north and northwest coasts
of the Kimberley. Windy at times over southern and eastern parts. Possibly
windy over northwest Kimberley coast dependent on development and movement of
tropical low.

Forecast for Tuesday 15 April
Light showers over southern and central parts of the South West Land Division,
southern Goldfields and Eucla. Showers and thunderstorms over northern and
central Kimberley, with heavy falls possible about the northwest coast of the
Kimberley. Possibly windy over west and northwest Kimberley coasts dependent on
development and movement of tropical low.
