Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough just inland from the west Pilbara coast will drift slowly towards the
east during the weekend. A ridge over the east Pilbara, North Interior and
Kimberley will gradually weaken during the weekend the west Pilbara coast will
drift slowly eastward during the weekend. A persistent ridge will extend into
the east Pilbara, North Interior and southern Kimberley into early next week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A firm high pressure ridge extends through southern parts of the State while a
low off the Central West coast will move very little through to Monday. A
trough near the west coast will drift slowly inland during the weekend. The low
off the west coast will weaken into a trough on Tuesday as the inland trough
moves eastward into the Goldfields.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 4 April
Possible showers over the north and east Kimberley and western parts of the
Pilbara and Gascoyne. Showers throughout the South West Land Division and
southwestern Goldfields, most widespread from the inland Lower West into the
western Wheat Belt, Great Southern and western South East Coastal District.
Chance of thunderstorms in the western part of the South West Land Division.
Windy across the Darling Scarp and adjacent foothills with damaging winds
possible during the evening.

Forecast for Saturday 5 April
Windy in the morning over the northern South West, Lower West, Central West and
Central Wheat Belt with possible damaging winds about the Darling Scarp and
adjacent foothills. Possible showers, mainly in the afternoon, over the
Kimberley and west-central Gascoyne. Showers across the South West Land
Division and, southwest Goldfields and near the Eucla coast, most widespread
through inland parts of the South West Land Division. Chance of thunderstorms
in the northeastern Kimberley, Lower West, northern and western Wheat Belt,
Central West and western and southern Gascoyne.

Forecast for Sunday 6 April
Possible showers over the South West Land Division, southwest Goldfields,
southern and western Gascoyne, northern Pilbara and Kimberley. Chance of
thunderstorms in the northeast Kimberley and most of the South West Land
Division, except for far southern parts.

Forecast for Monday 7 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, most likely in the north, with a
slight chance of showers in the north and west Pilbara. Showers over the South
West Land Division and southern and western parts of the Gascoyne and
Goldfields, most widespread in the eastern South West Land Division and
southwestern Goldfields. Chance of thunderstorms in the southwest corner of the
State.

Forecast for Tuesday 8 April
Possible showers and thunderstorms in the north and west Kimberley. Slight
chance of showers from the central Pilbara into the Gascoyne and western South
West Land Division. Showers through central and eastern parts of the South West
Land Division, Goldfields and western Eucla, with the chance of thunderstorms
about south coastal parts from Albany to Israelite Bay.
