Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
Ex-Tropical Cyclone Dianne is moving eastwards into the Northern Territory.
Elsewhere, a trough will remain roughly stationary near the west Pilbara coast
for most of the week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure centre moving through the Southern Ocean is extending a
persistent ridge through southern and central parts of the State, while a
stagnant trough lies near the west coast. The northern end of a cold front will
brush past the south coast during Tuesday as the trough starts to move inland
from the west coast. A new trough will extend down the west coast from
Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 1 April
Showers and thunderstorms in the eastern Kimberley and far northeastern
Northern Interior. Possible showers near the Pilbara coast and over
northeastern parts of the Interior. Light showers possible over the south coast
and adjacent inland parts to the west of Esperance. Tending milder over the
southwest corner of the State.

Forecast for Wednesday 2 April
Possible showers near the Pilbara coast, central and eastern Kimberley, and
over the northeast part of the Interior. Light showers possible over the south
coast and adjacent inland parts east of Albany. Milder over the southern parts
of the State.

Forecast for Thursday 3 April
Possible showers over the Kimberley, near the Pilbara coast, and far northern
parts of the Interior. Showers also possible over southern parts of the South
West Land Division and Eucla coast. Milder conditions persisting over the
southern parts of the State.

Forecast for Friday 4 April
Possible showers over the Kimberley, near the Pilbara coast, and far northern
parts of the Interior. Showers extending over the South West Land Division,
southwestern Goldfields, and Eucla coast. Milder conditions persisting over the
southern parts of the State.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
