Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough should persist over the north of the Kimberley. A ridge to the south
is bringing fresh east to southeasterly winds over the Pilbara and North
Interior. A developing tropical low 27U lies northwest of the Pilbara coast and
is forecast to move to the west, remaining well offshore with no direct impacts
expected to the WA coast. Another tropical low 28U may develop northwest of the
Kimberley coast from later tomorrow.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge is located in the Bight, while a trough will remain near
the west coast. This pattern is expected to persist for much of the week.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 26 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, moderate to heavy falls possible
with thunderstorms in northern parts. Hot to very hot over most of the South
West Land Division part from the south coast, the western Gascoyne, and western
Pilbara. Windy over southeastern, central and northern parts, apart from the
northern Kimberley.

Forecast for Thursday 27 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, moderate to heavy falls possible
with thunderstorms in northern parts. Chance of a shower over the northern
Interior and northern parts of the Pilbara. Hot to very hot over most of the
South West Land Division, the western Gascoyne, and southwest Pilbara. Windy
over central and northern parts, apart from the northern Kimberley.

Forecast for Friday 28 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, moderate to heavy falls possible
with thunderstorms. Chance of a shower over the northern Interior, Pilbara, and
South Coastal districts. Hot to very hot over most of the South West Land
Division.

Forecast for Saturday 29 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, moderate to heavy falls possible
with thunderstorms. Chance of a shower over the northern Interior, Pilbara,
South West Land Division away from the west coast, and southwestern parts of
the Goldfields.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
