Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough over the Kimberley is becoming active. A ridge to the south is
bringing fresh east to southeasterly winds over the Pilbara and North Interior.
A tropical low is forming well north of the Pilbara coast and is forecast to
move to the southwest during the week, remaining well offshore.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge is located in the Bight, while a trough will remain near
the west coast. This weather pattern is expected to persist well into next week.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 23 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, moderate to heavy falls possible
with thunderstorms in northeastern parts and about the north coast. Chance of a
shower or thunderstorm over the northeastern Pilbara and northern Interior.

Forecast for Monday 24 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, moderate to heavy falls possible
with thunderstorms in northeastern parts and about the north coast. Chance of a
shower or thunderstorm over the northern Pilbara and northern North Interior.
Hot to very hot over the South West Land Division apart from the south coast,
the western Gascoyne, and southwest Pilbara. Windy over central and northern
parts, apart from the Kimberley.

Forecast for Tuesday 25 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley. Chance of a shower or
thunderstorm about the Pilbara coast. Hot to very hot over the South West Land
Division apart from the south coast, the western Gascoyne, and southwest
Pilbara. Windy over central and northern parts, apart from the Kimberley.

Forecast for Wednesday 26 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley. Chance of a shower about the
Pilbara coast and northern and eastern parts of the North Interior. Hot to very
hot over most of the South West Land Division, the western Gascoyne, and
southwest Pilbara. Windy over southeastern, central and northern parts, apart
from the Kimberley.

Forecast for Thursday 27 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley. Chance of a shower about the
Pilbara coast and northern and eastern parts of the North Interior. Hot to very
hot over most of the South West Land Division, the western Gascoyne, and
southwest Pilbara. Windy over central and northern parts, apart from the
Kimberley.
