Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough over the Kimberley is becoming active, while another trough is located
near the west Pilbara coast. A tropical low is forming well north of the
Pilbara coast and is forecast to remain well offshore while moving slowly at
first and then tracking to the southwest next week.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge is located in the Bight, while a trough will remain near
the west coast. This weather pattern is expected to persist well into next week.
Forecast for the rest of Saturday 22 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley. Isolated showers with the chance
of a thunderstorm over the central and eastern Pilbara, and north and east
Interior.
Forecast for Sunday 23 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northeastern Pilbara, and
northern Interior, more frequent over the Kimberley. Light morning shower
possible about coastal parts between Cape Leeuwin and Esperance. Very hot over
northern parts of the South West Land Division, western Gascoyne and western
Pilbara. Windy in the morning over central and southeastern parts.

Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern Pilbara, and northern
North Interior, more frequent over the Kimberley. Very hot over most parts of
the South West Land Division, western Gascoyne and southwest Pilbara. Windy
over central and northern parts, mostly in the morning.
Forecast for Tuesday 25 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern and western Pilbara, and
northern North Interior, more frequent over the Kimberley. Very hot over most
parts of the South West Land Division, western Gascoyne and southwest Pilbara.
Windy over central and northern parts.
Forecast for Wednesday 26 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern and western Pilbara, and
North Interior, more frequent over the Kimberley. Very hot over most parts of
the South West Land Division, western Gascoyne and southwest Pilbara. Windy
over central and northern parts.
