Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over northern parts. A tropical low may form well offshore
from the Pilbara coast over the weekend.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge is developing along the south coast. A trough will deepen
down the west coast from Friday, before moving inland on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 19 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, far
northern Goldfields, Interior and eastern Eucla. Possible light showers along
the south coast.
Forecast for Thursday 20 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne,
Interior and far northern Goldfields. Chance of a light morning shower about
the coast east of Esperance and over Eucla. Windy in the morning over central
and southeastern parts.
Forecast for Friday 21 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne,
Interior, and far northern Goldfields.
Forecast for Saturday 22 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, and Interior. Possible
showers over the northern Gascoyne. Windy at times over southeastern parts.
Forecast for Sunday 23 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, far northern Gascoyne,
and Interior. Possible showers along the south coast between Augusta and
Esperance.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Thursday.
