Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over northern parts. A tropical low may form well offshore
from the Pilbara coast over the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough just inland from the west coast will move east ahead of a weak cold
front brushing past the southwest coast early Wednesday morning and along the
south coast during Wednesday. A new ridge will develop along the south coast in
the wake of the cold front on Wednesday and Thursday. Another trough will form
down the west coast on Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 18 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern Gascoyne, and
Interior.

Forecast for Wednesday 19 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne,
Interior and eastern Eucla. Possible afternoon shower over the remaining Eucla
and eastern Goldfields. Showers over southern parts of the South West Land
Division, gradually clearing from the west later in the day.

Forecast for Thursday 20 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne,
Interior and far northern Goldfields. Chance of a light morning shower about
the coast east of Esperance and over Eucla. Windy in the morning over central
and southeastern parts.

Forecast for Friday 21 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne,
Interior and far northern Goldfields.

Forecast for Saturday 22 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, and Interior. Possible
shower over the northern Gascoyne. Windy at times over southeastern parts.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Wednesday.
