Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over the area. A strong high pressure ridge will develop to
the south from Sunday pushing the trough towards the Pilbara coast and bringing
fresh southeasterly winds to the area.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough extending south from the Gascoyne through central parts of the state
and to the Eucla coast will continue to move east and out of WA by Saturday
morning. Another broad trough over western parts of the State extends to a low
offshore from the southwest coast, and will move east over the next couple of
days as a strengthening high pressure ridge develops south of the state.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 14 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern and western
Interior, central and eastern Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne, southern and eastern
parts of the South West Land Division, Goldfields, and western and central
Eucla. Heavy rainfall possible with thunderstorms over southern districts. Very
hot over the eastern Interior and eastern Eucla.

Forecast for Saturday 15 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, most parts of the
Pilbara apart from the far west, eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla and far
eastern Southeast Coastal district. Showers over the remaining southern
districts of the South West Land Division. Very hot over the Interior.

Forecast for Sunday 16 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Pilbara, and northern
Gascoyne. Possible showers, mostly in the morning, over southern districts of
the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields, Eucla and southern parts of
the South Interior. Windy over most of the state apart from the Kimberley and
adjacent North Interior.

Forecast for Monday 17 March
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the north and west Kimberley, Pilbara
and adjacent north Gascoyne. Windy over most of the state apart from the
Kimberley.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
