Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad low pressure trough lies over northern WA. This trough will be pushed
closer to the Pilbara coast from Wednesday as a high pressure ridge strengthens
to the south and brings fresh southeasterly winds to the area.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system will move south of the State during the next few days. A
low pressure trough will develop down the west coast from Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 5 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern North Interior,
and northern and western Pilbara. Possible showers over the eastern Eucla,
mostly in the morning. Very hot over northern parts of the State. Windy over
central and southern parts, gusty in the morning about the Darling Scarp.

Forecast for Thursday 6 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley and adjacent northeast
Pilbara. Very hot over northern parts, western Gascoyne and northwestern parts
of the South West Land Division. Windy over most parts of the state apart from
the Kimberley, gusty in the morning about the Darling Scarp.

Forecast for Friday 7 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, west Pilbara and
northwest Gascoyne. Chance of a late shower abut the western south coast. Very
hot over northern parts, western Gascoyne and inland parts of the South West
Land Division. Windy in the morning over the North Interior, Pilbara and inland
Gascoyne.

Forecast for Saturday 8 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and west Pilbara. Showers over the
South West, Great Southern, South Coastal, and western parts of the South East
Coastal district. Very hot over northern parts of the State.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
