Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad low pressure trough lies over northern WA. The trough will be pushed
closer to the Pilbara coast from Wednesday as a high pressure ridge strengthens
to the south and brings fresh east to southeasterly winds to the area.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A slow moving high pressure system lies in the Bight with a deep surface trough
extending from the Gascoyne into the South West Land Division. The trough will
move over eastern parts of the South West Land Division and Goldfields on
Monday, and through the Eucla on Tuesday, ahead of a weak cold front that will
move along the south coast overnight Monday and Tuesday morning. A new high
pressure ridge will then rapidly develop south of the State with a strong high
pressure system situated in Bight waters and a deep trough down the west coast
by Thursday.
