Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad low pressure trough persists over northern WA.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge is becoming established south of the State. A trough
should deepen inland from the west coast from Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 28 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, north and
west Pilbara, Gascoyne, and northeastern parts of the South West Land Division.
Showers clearing over the far southern Goldfields, South East Coastal district
and the Eucla.Very hot over western parts of the Pilbara, inland Gascoyne,
central Interior, northern Goldfields and northeast Central West District.

Forecast for Saturday 1 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, north and
west Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields, and far northeastern parts of the South
West Land Division. Chance of a light shower about the south coastal fringe.
Chance of fog over inland parts of the southern districts. Very hot over
western parts of the Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, central Interior, northern
Goldfields and far northeast Central West District.

Forecast for Sunday 2 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, north and
west Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, and far northern Goldfields. Chance of fog over
inland parts of the southern districts.Very hot over western parts of the
Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, central Interior, northern Goldfields and far
northeast Central West District.

Forecast for Monday 3 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, north and
west Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, Goldfields, and eastern parts of the South East
Coastal district. Showers developing over the far southwest coast. Chance of
fog over western and southern parts of the South West Land Division. Apart from
the Lower West and South West districts, very hot of the remainder of the State.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
