Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over northern WA.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge lies south of the state and a trough near the west coast. The trough
will move inland today, before another weaker ridge moves in from the west. A
weak cold front will then brush the far southwest coast Tuesday afternoon.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 24 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, North Interior, Pilbara,
inland Gascoyne, northwest Goldfields and far northeast parts of the Central
Wheat Belt and Central West districts. Very hot over most of the South West
Land Division, away from the west coast. Windy at times over the Interior and
South West Land Division.

Forecast for Tuesday 25 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, North Interior,
inland Gascoyne and Goldfields. Possible showers over the southern and central
South West Land Division with the chance of thunderstorms over central and
eastern parts. Very hot over western parts of the Pilbara, Gascoyne, most of
the Goldfields and eastern Central West district.

Forecast for Wednesday 26 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, western
Goldfields and northeast South West Land Division. Showers over the southern
South West Land Division. Very hot over western parts of the Pilbara, inland
Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and inland northern South West Land Division.

Forecast for Thursday 27 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the north and west Pilbara and Kimberley,
west Gascoyne and northeast Central West district. Showers over the southern
South West Land Division. Very hot over western parts of the Pilbara, inland
Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and northeast Central West district.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
