Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over central and northern WA. The trough will move north,
closer to the Kimberley and Pilbara coasts, on the weekend as a ridge extends
over southern WA.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak cold front will brush the southwest corner during Friday afternoon and
evening. A trough over the Goldfields and Eucla will continue to move east on
Friday night as a ridge extends over the southwest of the State. The ridge will
persist over southern parts on the weekend and a trough will form down the west
coast on Sunday. The trough moves inland on Monday before another weaker ridge
moves in from the west.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 22 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, Pilbara, Eucla,
South Interior and northeastern parts of the Gascoyne and Goldfields. Chance of
showers about the south coast. Cooler than average across the South West Land
Division and southern Goldfields. Windy over southeastern parts of the State.

Forecast for Sunday 23 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, Interior and
far northern Goldfields. Tending warmer down the west coast. Fresh and gusty
east to southeasterly winds in the morning through central WA and across the
Darling Scarp.

Forecast for Monday 24 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, North Interior, inland Pilbara
and inland Gascoyne. Hot across central and eastern parts of the South West
Land Division. Windy at times over the Interior and South West Land Division.

Forecast for Tuesday 25 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, North Interior, inland
Gascoyne and northern and central Goldfields. Very hot over western parts of
the Pilbara and Gascoyne.Windy over southeastern parts of the State.
