Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
Ex-Tropical Cyclone Zelia continues to weaken whilst moving over the northeast
Gascoyne and far northern Goldfields today, where it will dissipate on Monday.
A broad low pressure trough extends from Ex-Zelia across the Kimberley.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system lies in the Bight while a trough is off the west coast.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 16 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, eastern
Gascoyne, northern Goldfields, Interior and far northeast Central Wheat Belt.
Showers over the remaining inland Gascoyne, Goldfields, eastern South West Land
Division and western Eucla.
Forecast for Monday 17 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms for the Kimberley, Interior, southeast
Gascoyne, Goldfields and Eucla. Showers for the east Pilbara and the South West
Land Division, apart from the west.
Forecast for Tuesday 18 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms for the Kimberley, far east Pilbara and
Interior. Showers possible for the Goldfields, Eucla and most of the South West
Land Division.
Forecast for Wednesday 19 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, northwest
Interior. Chance of thunderstorms over western parts of the South West Land
Division. Showers possible over the southern Goldfields and most of the South
West Land Division.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Sunday.
