Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over the North Interior and southern Kimberley and extends
west into the Pilbara.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough over the South West Land Division will move east today as a weak ridge
extends south of the state. A new broader trough then forms just inland from
the west coast later today and Sunday, and moves east on Monday as another
stronger ridge develops from the west.
Forecast for the rest of Saturday 1 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern North Interior,
Pilbara and far northwest Gascoyne. Very hot over most parts of the State with
a cooler change around the southwest and south coasts. Isolated light showers
about the south coast west of Esperance.
Forecast for Sunday 2 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, North Interior, Pilbara and
far northern Gascoyne. Very hot over most of the State apart from the southwest
and south coasts.
Forecast for Monday 3 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northwestern North
Interior, Pilbara and far northern Gascoyne. Possible light shower over
southern districts of the South West Land Division. Very hot over most of the
State apart from the west coastal fringe and southern districts of the South
West Land Division. Windy at times over southern and central parts of the State.
Forecast for Tuesday 4 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northwestern North
Interior, Pilbara and northern Gascoyne. Possible light showers near the south
coast. Very hot over most of the State apart from southern coastal districts.
Windy at times over southern and central parts of the State.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
