Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad low pressure trough lies over northern parts of the state. The monsoon
may develop in the Timor Sea towards the end of the week, with the chance of a
tropical low developing in the vicinity of the Kimberley coast or Pilbara coast.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough over the Goldfields will move east tomorrow, ahead of a weak cold
front across the southern districts. A firm ridge will extend across southern
WA tomorrow, with the west coast trough returning on Thursday. The trough will
move inland on Friday ahead of another weak cold front approaching from the
west.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 14 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northeast
Gascoyne, Interior, Goldfields, Eucla and eastern parts of South East Coastal,
with possible heavy falls. Possible light showers over much of the South West
Land Division and adjacent southern Gascoyne. Very hot over the far west
Pilbara and northwest Gascoyne. Windy over southern WA.

Forecast for Wednesday 15 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, far northern
Gascoyne, and northern Interior. Very hot over the far west Pilbara and
northern Gascoyne. Windy in the morning through central and southeast WA.

Forecast for Thursday 16 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern
parts of Central West, adjacent northwest Central Wheat Belt and northern
Interior. Very hot over southwest Pilbara, Gascoyne, central Interior, Central
West, Central Wheat Belt, Lower West and inland parts of South West. Windy in
the morning through central and southwest WA.

Forecast for Friday 17 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern
Interior, western and northern Goldfields, and South West Land Division. Very
hot over southwest Pilbara, northern and eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, southern
and central Interior and South East Coastal and eastern parts of South Coastal.
Windy in the morning through inland parts of the South West Land Division and
eastern Gascoyne.
