Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad low pressure trough lies over northern parts of the state.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system to the west of the state extends a ridge over the south
of the state. This high pressure centre will then move into the Bight on Sunday
and Monday with a trough deepening down the west coast. The trough will move
inland from the west coast on Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 4 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, central and
northern parts of the Pilbara east of Onslow, north and east Gascoyne, most
parts of the South Interior, Goldfields, Eucla, and far northeast of the
Central Wheat Belt and eastern South East Coastal district. Showers over
southern districts east of Albany. Mild over southern parts of the State.
Becoming windy later in the day across Eucla, Goldfields and South Interior.

Forecast for Sunday 5 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over most parts of the Kimberley, central and
eastern Pilbara, east Gascoyne, Goldfields, most parts of the South Interior,
Eucla, and eastern Central Wheat Belt and northeastern South East Coastal
districts. Chance of a light shower about the south coast east of Albany. Mild
over southern parts of the state. Windy at times over southern and central
parts.

Forecast for Monday 6 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern
Pilbara, eastern and southern Gascoyne, north and east Goldfields, Interior,
eastern Eucla, and northern parts of the South West Land Division. Mild over
southeastern parts of the state. Windy over southern and central parts.

Forecast for Tuesday 7 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern
Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne, north and east Goldfields, Interior, eastern Eucla,
and extending from northeastern to southwestern parts of the South West Land
Division. Warmer over the South West Land Division. Windy over southern and
central parts, mostly in the morning.
