Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A slow moving trough extends from inland Pilbara to the North Interior.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge is persisting over the south of the State. A new trough
will develop down the west coast today, before moving inland on Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of Saturday 28 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, and northern
Interior. Chance of morning fog over the southern parts of the South West Land
Division. Windy over central parts. Hot to very hot over the Pilbara, North
Interior, western Gascoyne and northern parts of Central West.
Forecast for Sunday 29 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern Interior
and inland northern Gascoyne. Chance of a thunderstorm with little to no
rainfall over southern Gascoyne and eastern parts of Central Wheat Belt. Hot to
very hot over the Pilbara, northern Interior, inland Gascoyne, inland Central
West, Central Wheat Belt, eastern parts of Great Southern, inland parts of
South Coastal and South East Coastal.
Forecast for Monday 30 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern Interior,
inland northern Gascoyne, and far northern Goldfields. Possible showers over
southern Gascoyne, eastern parts of the South West Land Division, Goldfields,
Southern Interior, and southern districts. Hot to very hot over the much of the
State away from the west coast and southern districts.
Forecast for Tuesday 31 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, inland
Gascoyne, and far northern Goldfields. Possible showers over the northern
Goldfields. Hot to very hot over the much of the State away from the west coast
and southern districts.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
