Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the inland Pilbara and into the Interior.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough lies over the interior, while a weak cold front is moving eastwards
across the Great Australian Bight, and will be followed by a strengthening
ridge from the Indian Ocean. The new ridge will extend over southern WA on
Thursday. A new trough will develop down the west coast on Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 25 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern and eastern
Pilbara, Interior and Goldfields. Chance of an early morning thunderstorm over
the Eucla district. Showers over far southern parts of the South West Land
Division. Cooler over the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields and
southern Gascoyne, remaining hot to very hot elsewhere.

Forecast for Thursday 26 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northeast Pilbara, and
northern and eastern parts of the Interior. Possible showers over far southern
parts of the South West Land Division, Eucla and southeast South Interior. Cool
over southern WA, hot to very hot elsewhere.

Forecast for Friday 27 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern
Pilbara, and northern Interior. Possible showers over far southern parts of the
South West Land Division, and Eucla coast.

Forecast for Saturday 28 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern Interior
and inland northwest Gascoyne.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
