Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the inland Kimberley to near the Pilbara coast.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough lies over the inland South West Land Division and Gascoyne, before
moving into the Goldfields late today. A ridge strengthens over southwestern
parts in its wake and another trough forms near the west coast from Friday and
over the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 19 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern and western
Pilbara. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm with little to no rainfall over the
southern and western Gascoyne, northeastern parts of the Central Wheat Belt and
far western Goldfields. Chance of a light morning shower along the Esperance
coast. Becoming windy over southern WA. Very hot over the inland Central West,
northern parts of the Central Wheat Belt, Goldfields, Gascoyne, Pilbara,
Kimberley and North Interior.

Forecast for Friday 20 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern and western
Pilbara and far northwest Gascoyne. Light showers possible about the Eucla
coast. Windy over central and southeastern parts of the State. Very hot over
the inland Central West, northern parts of the Central Wheat Belt, northern
Goldfields, Gascoyne, Pilbara, Kimberley and northern Interior.

Forecast for Saturday 21 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the northern Kimberley. Chance of a
thunderstorm over the far western Pilbara, west and southern Gascoyne, inland
Central West and northern parts of the Central Wheat Belt. Windy over the
Pilbara, Gascoyne, Interior and Eucla. Very hot over the inland Central West,
Central Wheat Belt, northern Lower West, northern Goldfields, Gascoyne,
Pilbara, Kimberley and northern Interior.

Forecast for Sunday 22 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the northern and central Kimberley. Very
hot over the Central West, Central Wheat Belt, Lower West, northern Goldfields,
Gascoyne, Pilbara, Kimberley and northern Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
