Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over northern WA. A drier easterly flow will extend into
the North Interior and southeast Pilbara during today.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high contracts into the Bight as a trough deepens near the west coast. The
trough moves inland today with a ridge strengthening over southwestern parts in
its wake.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 18 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, western Gascoyne
and northern parts of North Interior. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over
inland parts of the South West Land Division, with little or no rainfall. Windy
in the morning through central parts of the State. Very hot over inland parts
of the South West Land Division, Gascoyne, western Pilbara and eastern
Kimberley.

Forecast for Thursday 19 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, southern Gascoyne
and northeastern parts of the Central Wheat Belt. Light showers along the south
coast between Walpole and Israelite Bay. Becoming windy over southern WA. Very
hot over the inland Central West, northern parts of the Central Wheat Belt,
northern Goldfields, Gascoyne, Pilbara, Kimberley and North Interior.

Forecast for Friday 20 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley and western Pilbara. Light
showers about the Eucla coast. Windy over central and southeastern parts of the
State. Very hot over the inland Central West, northern parts of the Central
Wheat Belt, northern Goldfields, Gascoyne, Pilbara, Kimberley and northern
Interior.

Forecast for Saturday 21 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the northern Kimberley. Chance of a
thunderstorm over the far western Pilbara, northwest and southern Gascoyne and
northern parts of the Central Wheat Belt. Windy over the Pilbara, Gascoyne,
Interior and Eucla. Very hot over the inland Central West, northern parts of
the Central Wheat Belt, northern Goldfields, Gascoyne, Pilbara, Kimberley and
northern Interior.
