Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure extends across the north of the state.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge over southeast WA is moving east, while a deep trough is located near
the west coast. The trough will move east during today, ahead of a new ridge
arriving from the Indian Ocean. The ridge will expand gradually over southern
WA on the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 13 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern and western
Interior, Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields, western Eucla and most parts of the
South West Land Division. Possible heavy falls with thunderstorms over inland
parts. Hot to very hot over central and eastern parts of the South West Land
Division, southern Goldfields and Eucla.

Forecast for Saturday 14 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Pilbara, inland
Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla and eastern parts of South East Coastal district.
Light showers about the South Coastal and South West districts. Hot to very hot
over eastern parts of the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields and
Eucla.

Forecast for Sunday 15 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Pilbara, eastern
Gascoyne, eastern Goldfields and Eucla. Light showers over southern and western
parts of the South West Land Division. Windy at times over southern and central
WA.

Forecast for Monday 16 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, central and
eastern Pilbara, and far northeast Gascoyne. Light showers about the south
coast. Windy at times over eastern and central WA.
