Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure lies over northern parts. A tropical low 05U may
form north of the Kimberley this week, and if it forms the tropical low is
likely to track to the southwest near the Kimberley and/or Pilbara coasts.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge will persist south of WA whilst a low pressure trough deepens near the
west coast, before moving inland on Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 11 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, north and central Interior,
Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and northern and central parts of the
South West Land Division. Possible heavy falls with thunderstorms over northern
parts. Windy mostly in the morning over central and southeastern parts and
about the Darling Scarp. Hot to very hot over most parts of the South West Land
Division away from the south coastal fringe.

Forecast for Thursday 12 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Pilbara,
Gascoyne, northern and western Goldfields and northern and eastern parts of the
South West Land Division. Possible heavy falls with thunderstorms over northern
and central parts. Hot to very hot over most parts of the South West Land
Division away from the south coastal fringe.

Forecast for Friday 13 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, north and west Interior,
Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields, western Eucla and most parts of the South West
Land Division. Possible heavy falls with thunderstorms over inland parts. Hot
to very hot over the south of the state.

Forecast for Saturday 14 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Pilbara, inland
Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla and the far northeast South East Coastal district.
Slight chance of a shower Hot to very hot over the south of the state, away
from the south and western coastal fringe.
