Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high pressure ridge pushing in from the west is bringing fresh southwesterly
winds to the western Pilbara. Elsewhere, a trough extends from the inland
central Pilbara into the Interior. A tropical low may be located over offshore
waters to the north of the Kimberley over the weekend.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge should persist south of WA whilst a low pressure trough becomes
established near the lower west coast.
Forecast for the rest of Friday 6 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, far eastern Pilbara and
eastern Eucla. Possible heavy falls with thunderstorms over the northern
Kimberley. Possible shower over southeastern coastal districts.
Forecast for Saturday 7 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, and eastern Pilbara.
Possible heavy falls with thunderstorms over the northern Kimberley. Possible
light showers over the Great Southern , western South East Coastal, and South
Coastal districts. Windy over southeastern and central parts.
Forecast for Sunday 8 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, eastern Pilbara,
eastern Gascoyne, inland South West Land Division, Goldfields and inland Eucla.
Showers possible over the the remaining parts of the South West Land Division.
Possible heavy falls with thunderstorms over the northern Kimberley.
Forecast for Monday 9 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Pilbara, eastern
Gascoyne, inland South West Land Division, Goldfields and Eucla. Showers
possible over southern districts. Possible heavy falls with thunderstorms over
the northwestern Kimberley.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
