Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the eastern Pilbara and into the North Interior. A ridge
building to the south will bring fresh southwesterly winds to the western
Pilbara at times.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough lies over the southern Goldfields and far southern parts of the
Interior which moves eastwards today. A weak cold front will then move over
southwest parts today with another on Wednesday. A new ridge develops in the
wake of the front later Wednesday with a trough just inland from the west coast
on Friday,
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 5 November
Showers southwest of a line from Geraldton to Israelite Bay. Possible showers
and thunderstorms over the west and south Kimberley, North Interior and eastern
parts of the South Interior. Becoming windy over the eastern Goldfields, far
southern parts of the Interior and Eucla. Remaining very hot over the inland
parts of the north and east of the State.
Forecast for Wednesday 6 November
Showers near the south coast, decreasing to a chance south of Geraldton to
Lancelin to Katanning to Salmon Gums, mostly clearing late afternoon and
evening. Possible showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, North Interior
and northeastern parts of the South Interior. Remaining very hot over the
inland parts of the north of the State.
Forecast for Thursday 7 November
Slight chance of a shower about the far Southwest coast, also about the west
coast in the evening. Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and
northeast parts of the Interior. Remaining very hot over the inland parts of
the north of the State.
Forecast for Friday 8 November
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, the Interior and far east
Pilbara. Possible showers over the Southeast Gascoyne, South West Land
Division, Goldfields and Eucla. Possible thunderstorms over the eastern Central
Wheat Belt, northeast Great Southern and southwest Goldfields. Remaining very
hot over the inland parts of the north of the State.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
